Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon arrival (by car)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by KST representative and our tour guide. On the way visit to Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Laba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi) and Royal White Elephant camp. Check in to hotel and Yangon sightseeing; visit to Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, Karaweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal lake for photo stop, Yangon's city center featuring Sule Pagoda at city center and colonial building, China Town with the fruit market and Yangon's city center covering World famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Witness the golden dome light up sunshine at the sunset. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo (golden rock) (by car)

After breakfast at hotel drive to Kyaikthiyo, one of Myanmar's landmarks, which is famous for its precarious position and religious important. Kyaikthiyo the "Golden Rock", a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. Arrive at the base camp of Kinpun and proceed to the Golden Rock by open truck about an hour mountain drive. Take a light trekking on the summit through bamboo forest. Enjoy sunset beauty on hill top and overnight at hotel in Kyaikhtiyo.

Day 3: Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) - Bago - Moeyungyi wetland (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, take a half hour walk to a small cave. Also stop at the roadside shops for rare product of jungle. Midmorning, drive to Bago. Make a short visit of Bago town tour including Bago Local Market, Kanbawza Thardi Palace built by King Bayinnaung, Kalayani Sima (Ordination Hall), Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Shwethalyaung Pagoda, the world's most beautiful reclining Buddha and Wood Carving Industry. Proceed to Moeyungyi wetlands for Bird watching. Overnight at hotel in Moeyungyi Resort.

Day 4: Moeyungyi wetland (for bird watching) - Mandalay (by boat, car and train)

In the early morning boat excursion around the Moeyungyi Wetlands and bird watching in an environment. In the evening transfer to Railway station for Mandalay by train. Overnight on train.

Day 5: Mandalay full day sightseeing (by car)

Arrive Mandalay, transfer to hotel and full day sightseeing; visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Tapestry making home cottage, Marble carving workshop, Gold-leaf Beating workshop, silk weaving home cottage, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda a large Buddha image carved out of a single block of marble, Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden Palace) noted for its exquisite wood carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the world's Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Mandalay Palace and in the evening enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 6: Amarapura - Mingun sightseeing (by boat and car)

After breakfast at hotel, excursion to Amarapura. Visit to Mahagandayon Monastery, U Bein Bridge and observe Myanma Traditional Hand-Woven silk workshop. Proceed to Mingun by boat trip, a village on the west bank of the river. Visit to Mingun Pahtotawgyi, the world renowned ringing Mingun Bell, Myatheintan Pagoda and surrounding village. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 7: Mandalay - Sagaing (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, visit to Sagaing Hill - known as the center for mediation. Hillsides are dotted with numerous Pagodas and Monasteries. Visit to Khaungmudaw Pagoda, Pottery Making village and Silver-smith workshop. In the evening enjoy the sunset from Sagaing Hill. Return to Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

 

Day 8: Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Pyin Oo Lwin sightseeing. Places of interest are; National Kandawgyi Park, Chinese Temple, Pwe Kauk Water fall, and Peik Chin Myaung Cave. Overnight at hotel in Pyin Oo Lwin.

Day 9: Pyin Oo Lwin - Mandalay (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, morning' leisure at Pyin Oo Lwin. In the afternoon, drive back to Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 10: Mandalay - Bagan (by express boat and car)

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to jetty take a local river cruise trip to Bagan along the river Ayeyarwaddy sampling some of the village life of the people on the river banks. In the evening, arrive at Bagan and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 11: Bagan full day sightseeing (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, for sightseeing includes visit to the colorful Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa, Kyansittha Umin; Wet-kyi-inn Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings of jataka scenes and Htilominlo Temple. After the must visit to lacquer ware workshop; continue to Manuha Temple; Nanphaya, the residence of King Manuha; Ananda Temple, architectural master piece and Oak-Kyaung monastery decorated with multi colors paintings. Enjoy the breath taking sunset from Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 12: Bagan full day sightseeing. (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, morning sightseeing start with Lawkananda Pagoda; East and West Phet Leik with clay plaque Jataka scenes; Thatbyinnyu Temple; Shwegugyi Temple; Palace site and Tharaba Gate. Tour includes Apeyadana Temple with the paintings of Mahayana concept; Nagayon Temple; Archaeological Museum; Dhamayangyi Temple, a massive Temple with finest brick work and Mingalar Zedi to watch sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 13: Bagan - Kanpetlet (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Kanpetlet. Overnight at Guest House in Kanpetlet.

Day 14: Kanpetlet - Mt. Victoria

Commence climbing Mt. Victoria. Arrive summit. Picnic lunch. Turn back (walk down) to Kanpetlet. Overnight at Guest House in Kanpetlet.

Day 15: Kanpetlet - Bagan (by car)

Drive back to Bagan. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 16: Bagan - Mt. Popa - Kalaw (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Kalaw, a mountain resort town in the Southern Shan State. Enroute visit Mt. Popa, is considered the early font of power for the mystical world of the nats. Climb up Mt. Popa and view the surrounding area. Proceed to Kalaw. Overnight at hotel in Kalaw.

 

Day 17: Kalaw - Pindaya - Inle (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Pindaya, through picturesque scenery. Visit Pindaya caves, Pindaya lakes; home base paper making and umbrella making industry. Next proceed to the famous Inle Lake, the residence of the Intha People and a kind of water would. Overnight at hotel in Inle.

Day 18: Inle Lake sightseeing (by boat excursion)

After breakfast at hotel, Inle Lake sightseeing by boat, visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Floating Gardens, Unique Leg-rowers, Traditional Fishing Method, Silk Weaving, Stilt House Villages on the lake and Nge Pe Chaung (Jumping Cat) Monastery. Overnight at hotel in Inle.

Day 19: Inle - Taunggyi - Kakku - Taunggyi (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Taunggyi. Capital of Shan State Taunggyi is a pine clad hill station. The weather is cool all year round and the winter months can be quite cold at night. The Local Market is well known throughout Myanmar. Proceed to Kakku, a unique temple complex of more than 2000 stupas has lied hidden in the Pa-O heartland of Southern Shan State of centuries. Overnight at hotel in Taunggyi.

Day 20: Taunggyi - Yangon (by flight and car)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Heho and fly back to Yangon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 21: Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk U (by flight, boat and car)

Yangon to Sittwe by flight. Upon arrival transfer to jetty and proceed by travel's Express Speed boat for journey upriver to the last royal capital of Rakhine, Mrauk U. Overnight at hotel in Mrauk U.

Day 22: Chin tattoo village - Shakama Tribes village (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, start a scenic journey and very bad and bumpy road by car (or) boat to tattoo chin village of the Lay Too Chin Minority. The Chin minorities are probably best known for their colorful fabrics and tattoo faces, a century old tradition not practiced anymore in our modern times. Return to Mrauk U. In the afternoon you will explore a typical village of the Shakama (Thet) minority to see the rural way of life. Enjoy a short canoe trip through the beautiful landscape of river followed by further explorations of temples. Visit to Shittaung Temple, a shrine of 80,000 Buddha images the adjacent Anndaw Thin Temple, Htukkan Thin Ordination hall and the 17th century temple of Yadanar Phone Pagoda and Laymyatnar Temple. Proceed to local Shakama village by Rowing Boat. And then Zeenar Manaung Pagoda, Luck Say Kan Lake, Bandola monastery, Syakkya Manaung Pagoda and sun set at Shwegou Taung pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Mrauk U.

Day 23: Mrauk U - Mro (khami) Tribe - Sittwe (by car and boat)

After breakfast at hotel, visit to Market, Archaeological Museum, Koethaung Temple and Thet (or) Shakama Village and going back to Sittwe. On the way back to Sittwe, we visit to another Hidden missing Ethnical Mro (khimi) Tribe village. The villagers are very helpful and warmly welcome. They are very proud of their hand weaving clothes. It is the best quality hand weaving in Myanmar vanishing tribes clothes. And then continue to Sittwe. Overnight at hotel in Sittwe.

Day 24: Sittwe - Thandwe - Ngapali Beach (by flight and car)

After breakfast at hotel, visit to main market in Sittwe, sightseeing and shopping in Sittwe. At noon transfer to air port for Sittwe to Thandwe by flight. Arrive Thandwe and proceed to Ngapali Beach. Overnight at Ngapali Beach.

 

 

Day 25: Ngapali Beach

Free at leisure in Ngapali Beach. Overnight at hotel in Ngapali Beach.

Day 26: Ngapali Beach

Free at leisure in Ngapali Beach. Overnight at hotel in Ngapali Beach.

Day 27: Ngapali Beach - Yangon (by flight and car)

Transfer to Thandwe air port for fly back to Yangon. Overnight at Yangon.

Day 28: Shopping and Departure (by car)

After breakfast at hotel, morning shopping at Gems Mart and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer to airport for departure.
