Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Yangon full day sightseeing (by car)
Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by KST
representative and our tour guide. Check in to hotel and
Yangon sightseeing; visit to Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha)
Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha, Karaweik Hall Royal
barge on the Royal lake for photo stop, Yangon's city center
featuring Sule Pagoda at city center and colonial building,
drive in downtown visit China Town with the fruit market and
Yangon's city center covering World famous Shwedagon Pagoda.
Witness the golden dome light up sunshine as the sunset.
Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon - Kyaing Tung (by flight and car)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for Yangon
to Kyaing Tung. Check in to hotel and sightseeing in Kyaing
Tung starts with Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, housing Mandalay
Style Buddha image. Proceed to Shan lacquer ware. Then visit
Standing Buddha Image, Hot Spa, Akha centre village and
R.C.M church. Sunset on the One Tree Hill where a lone, 245
years old Kanyin - byu (Diptero carpus Spp) tree stands. And
then come back to the pottery village "Yan Gone" to observe
the handicraft earthen pots of Shan tribe. Overnight at
hotel in Kyaing Tung.
Day 3: Akha and Luhu village (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, morning visit to Water Buffalo
Market where buyers and sellers stand around seemingly doing
nothing but Kyaing Tong for Taunggyi on the southern side of
the town. Drive to "Ho Kyin" villages, typical Akha tribe
village. From here continue for another 30 minutes to Na Phi
Phank village, where Lahu and Akha tribes living together.
From there walk to Phata Akha village and "Pang Ma Phai"
Akha tribe village to learn more about their daily life.
Come back to the car to go Mong Zine (Khun Village) to see
traditional Lahu Knives made by Lahu blacksmith. On the way
back to hotel visit Joe Phyu " Wa village". Overnight at
hotel in Kyaing Tung.
Day 4: Loimwe village (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to "Akha village" 9km
north-east of Kyaing Tung. Proceed to "Loimwe'', 33km away
from Kyaing Tung. Loimwe which literally translated means
"misty mountain" is at an altitude of over 1,600 meters,
above see- level. It commands magnificent view of the
surrounding area and enjoys a temperate climate. Once an
outpost of the Britist there remain many Colonial buildings
and also a Catholic Churches. The main attraction along the
way is the scenery on the ascent to Loimwe, which passes
through forests, terraced rice fields. On the way to Loimwe
you will have several stops to visit different villages. Wan
Lun Shan village, walk and explore the native village life;
Ho Lup Akha village where you can see the traditional Akha
tribes with their colorful dresses; Nang Cho Wa village and
Panwai Lahu village on the left and right side or the road.
Late afternoon you will be back in Kyaing Tong. Overnight at
hotel in Kyaing Tung.
Day 5: Kyaing Tung - Yangon (by flight and car)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for Kyaing
Tung to Yangon by flight. On the way visit to Lawka Chanthar
Arbayar Laba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi) and Royal White
Elephant camp. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 6: Shopping and Departure. (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, morning shopping at Gems Mart
and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott)
Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer
to airport for departure.
