Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Yangon arrival and sightseeing (by car)
Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by KST
representative and our tour guide. On the way visit to Lawka
Chanthar Arbayar Laba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi) and
White Elephant camp. Check in to hotel and Yangon
sightseeing; visit to Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda
a colossal reclining Buddha, Karaweik Hall Royal barge on
the Royal lake for photo stop, Yangon's city center
featuring Sule Pagoda at city center and colonial building,
drive in downtown visit China Town with the fruit market and
Yangon's city center covering World famous Shwedagon Pagoda.
Witness the golden dome light up sunshine at the sunset.
Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon - Mandalay - Amarapura - Mandalay (by
flight and car)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for Yangon
to Mandalay by flight. Arrive Mandalay and check in to
hotel. Excursion to Amarapura , visit Mahaganyon Monastery,
where more than a thousand monks live and study. Continue to
U Bein teak bridge. Mandalay city tour including visit to
Mahamuni Image, Tapestry making home cottage, Marble carving
workshop, Gold-leaf Beating workshop, silk weaving home
cottage, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda a large Buddha image carved out
of a single block of marble, Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden
Palace) noted for its exquisite wood carving, Kuthodaw
Pagoda known as the world's Biggest Book for its stone slabs
of Buddhist scriptures, Sulamani Pagoda. Mandalay Palace and
in the evening enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill.
Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 3: Mandalay - Mingun - Sagaing (by car and boat)
After breakfast at hotel, depart Mandalay on a private
boat along the Ayeyarwaddy River to visit Mingun, a village
on the west bank of the river. Visit to Mingun Pahtotawgyi,
the world renowned ringing Mingun Bell, Myatheintan Pagoda
and surrounding village. Proceed to Sagaing Hill - known as
the center for medition. Hillsides are dotted with numerous
Pagodas and Monasteries. Visit to Khaungmudaw Pagoda,
Pottery Making village and Silver-smith workshop. In the
evening enjoy the sunset from Sagaing Hill. Return to
Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 4: Mandalay - Bagan (by express boat and car)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to jetty take a local
river cruise trip to Bagan along the river Ayeyarwaddy
sampling some of the village life of the people on the river
banks. In the evening, arrive at Bagan and transfer to
hotel. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.
Day 5: Bagan full day sightseeing (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, Bagan full day sightseeing
includes visit to the colorful Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon
Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple
noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sand stone
decoration, Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings
of jataka scenes. Visit to Myinkaba Village and observe the
process of Traditional Lacquer ware Industry one of
Myanmar's best-known handicrafts. Ananda Temple, an
architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple with
four impressive standing Buddha images. Thabinnyu Temple,
the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for
its remarkable brickwork. Enjoy sunset over the site from
the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at hotel
in Bagan.
Day 6: Bagan - Mt. Popa - Yangon (by car and flight)
After breakfast at hotel, visit to Mt.Popa, is considered
the early font of power for the mystical world of the nats.
Climb up Mt. Popa and view the surrounding area. Drive back
to Bagan. In the evening transfer to airport for Yangon by
flight. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 7: Yangon (Departure) (by car)
After breakfast at hotel, morning shopping at Gems Mart
and Handicrafts shops. Visit to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott)
Market where you can buy many souvenirs. And then transfer
to airport for departure.
